Sheldon/Penny fic list for Colleen
So… this is my disclaimer for the list: I have no idea what I’m about to post. Not really. These are all fics that I’ve bookmarked for some reason or another, but at the moment, I wouldn’t be able to tell you which one is which (except for the first few, those recs are completely intentional).
The Paladin Protocol
Length: Epic
Every journey has to start somewhere. This one began when Penny found an alternative to paintball, and Sheldon dusted off an old skill.
(contains an abundance of Firefly references)
Over the Sea of Sunken Eyes
Length: Oneshot
Two years, miles from Pasadena and no longer the physicist and the waitress, Sheldon and Penny have found new careers as zombie hunters.
The Hardest Part is Finding a Name
Length: Oneshot
Penny dies but wakes up alive. That’s not normal.
Sequel: Right Here is Where We Begin
Length: 4 good sized chapters
One day you’re just a waitress. Or a physicist. Then all of a sudden you wake up and you’ve got superpowers. But that doesn’t automatically make you some kind of superhero. Oh, no, there’s work you have to put in before the world sings your praises. Sheldon has a handbook with a 15 step plan. Penny took notes. Notes that she’s going to ignore as she tries to explain how to go from waitress to superhero in her own way.
& Light is Only Now Just Breaking
Length: 3 good sized chapters
Penny moves back home to take care of her mother. Sheldon, for reasons of his own, follows her.
Apocalypse Week
Length: 8 chapters and ongoing
Sheldon Cooper is crazy, but also kind of made of awesomeness. Or at least that’s how Howard puts it. Sheldon, however, would explain it a different way: “Apocalypse Week is a series of training exercises, skirmishes, and aptitude tests based on survival simulations for various apocalyptical events. It serves to debunk a number of myths perpetrated by Hollywood and popular culture and to ensure personal survival scenarios are reliable and well-practiced.”
The Paradigm Alteration
Length: Long and ongoing
After a slight head injury, Penny comes to realize how much the boys care for her well-being. She also realizes a certain someone might care more than they let on…
Miles to Go (Before I Sleep)
Length: 6 good sized chapters
Sheldon prepares for everything- zombies, restaurant closures, and power outages. He also plans for the apocalypse by packing survival kits for each of his friends, including a certain neighbor across the hall. When the unthinkable finally happens, Penny is separated from those who can help her most until she finds a series of letters from Sheldon in the compartments of her bag. Slowly, she realizes her genius neighbor knows more than he’s ever been given credit for and that there is more to their relationship than she ever thought possible.
Insurmountable Oddness
Length: 9 small chapters
Psychological experimentation, unpaid power bills, new traditions begun, old traditions altered, a few horrible puns, a love quadrangle, and the perils of leaving your secret list of reasons you love someone lying on your coffee table. Plus Sheldon’s first kiss. (Well, third. But we’re not counting the other two.)
Baroque Moved You
Length: Oneshot
Sheldon and Penny get their high school reunion on.
Divisible by Two
Length: Oneshot
Clearly, he’s a genius, but somewhere in her radius, he really blew it.
You are the Runner and I am my Father’s Son
Length: Oneshot
Penny takes the scenic route (or how the unlucky track record of the Cooper men almost claims another one).
5 Times
Length: Oneshot
A story that chronicles 5 times Penny and Sheldon sleep together.
The Providential Dismissal Quandary
Length: 8 Chapters
Sheldon’s to blame. Penny’s furious. The guys are helpless. What’s a string theorist to do? Episode-style fic featuring the full cast, with a focus on Sheldon/Penny.
We’re All in the Mood For a Melody
Length: Oneshot
I couldn’t find a summary.
Thirteen Way of Looking at a Relationship
Length: Oneshot
Thirteen glances at Penny and Sheldon as a couple. Based around Wallace Stevens’ poem, “Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird.” (Note: The bits are not in chronological order.)
All Things Considered
Length: Oneshot
paradox plot-bunny proliferation: Penny and Sheldon are caught together in a snowstorm/rainstorm/hurricane/tornado.
